Bathing Rituals

When it comes to unwinding both body and mind at the end of a long day. nothing quite compares to lying back and immersing yourself in a steamy aromatic bath. Recline, relax and recharge!

As we move into Autumn with the nights drawing in and there is a chill in the air, our thoughts turn long soaks in a warm, comforting bath instead of quick refreshing showers! But taking a bath is more about self indulgence, a personal luxurious ritual, rather than just cleansing ourselves.

For many of us, taking a bath is the only time in the day when we can simply shut the door on the world and be alone with our thoughts. We can make it a sanctuary with twinkling candles, wine or cup of herbal tea in hand, adding salts and oils for a little extra indulgence.

The benefits of taking an Aromatherapy Bath

Essential Oils are 100% pure, so as well giving a wonderful aroma to the bath, they also benefit health and emotional wellbeing. When the essential oils are absorbed through the body or inhaled, they can rejuvenate skin, invigorate tired bodies, boost circulation, promote detoxing, stimulate the immune system, relieve stress and lift the mood. Bathing and aromatherapy have a clear synergy because baths give the oils a double route into the body. Through inhalation of the scent diffused in the steam and through the skin.

When combined with salts, such as Epsom and Himalayan, there is the added benefit as they have healing benefits, get rid of body toxins, exfoliate skin and sooth aching muscles and joints.

Other ingredients can also be added, such as coconut milk which is packed with vitamins B, C and E and is loaded with good fats which will soften and encourage supple skin. Organic Colloidal Oats reduce skin inflammation, replenish skin oils, moisturise and cleanse as well as containing anti oxidant properties.

Below are some examples of beautiful handmade aromatherapy bath soaks you can indulge yourself in. All are 100% natural, made with pure essential oils and enriched with coconut milk, colloidal organic oats and Epsom/Himalayan salts. As well as smelling gorgeous, the bath soaks will leave your skin nourished, moisturised and silky smooth. Find one to suit your needsโ€ฆ
